Mangalore, Feb 10: The best chapter award at the national-level for activities in 2005, has been bagged by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Mangalore branch.

The rotating shield was received by Nitin J Shetty, chairman, Mangalore branch of Southern India Regional council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, and Praveen Kumar Shetty, secretary, from K Rehman Khan, deputy chairman, Rajya Sabha, at the recently held 56th annual function of Chartered Accountants of India, at the convention hall in Hotel Ashoka at New Delhi.

The Mangalore branch received the award for the first time in its 56 years of history.
