Jumpsuits make red carpet style statement

Los Angeles, Sep 4 (IANS): Move beyond the little black dresses and gowns. The 1970s' fashion trend of stylish and sleek jumpsuits is scoring high on the international red carpets.

Spanish actress Elsa Pataky, wife of actor Chris Hemsworth, walked the red carpet at the recent premiere of “Rush”, wearing an Elie Saab jumpsuit. She was spotted in a black backless jumpsuit with sheer sleeves.

Actress Dakota Fanning too was spotted at the Venice Film Festival in a black halter neck Viktor and Rolf jumpsuit with satin trim and bow detail along the neckline, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

These aren’t the only stars to try the trend either.

English actress Ashley Madekwe wore a yellow plunge-neckline Diane Von Furstenberg satin jumpsuit to the Instyle Summer Soiree, while Nicole Scherzinger, Rita Ora and Keri Russel have also endorsed the fashion must-have at red carpet events.
