Makers planning film on TV series 'Copper'

Los Angeles, Sep 24 (IANS): American television series "Copper", a period drama, will reportedly be made into a film.

The show was scrapped off after two seasons, but the creators of the series are now considering making a film, reports deadline.com.

"Copper", which premiered in 2012, revolved around an Irish immigrant police office, Ken Cocoran who lived in New York in the 1860s.

Reportedly, the third season will set the plot for the film. It would examine life in America post the assassination of president Abraham Lincoln.

Must every failed TV show get a rumor of a movie to try and justify why the bad TV show was made in the first place?

Copper was poorly made and boring and failed to attract audiences. It should have been canceled after one season.

Of course, the worst still remains the Veronica Mars movie that used a fake Kickstarter campaign to get press for a project that is so mind-numbingly stupid, nobody can comprehend why anyone wanted to make it (except its creators eager to get their names in the press again even for a show/movie most dislike).
