Justice Sreedhar Rao sworn in as Gauhati HC judge

Bangalore, Oct 24: Justice K Sreedhar Rao, who was serving as the judge of Karnataka High Court, was sworn in as the judge of Gauhati High Court.

The Gauhati high court chief justice Abhay Manohar Sapre administered the oath of office and secrecy in the presence of senior members of the judiciary and bureaucrats.

Justice K Sreedhar Rao was born on October 21, 1953 and enrolled as an advocate on February 24, 1976. He had practised in Bellary district.

He joined Karnataka Judicial Service as District Judge on April 15, 1988 and promoted to the cadre of District Judge (Super Time Scale) in 1995.

Justice Rao also functioned as Additional Judge of the High Court of Karnataka in 2000 and became permanent Judge on May 16, 2001.
