Greater Noida, Oct 27 (IANS): If anyone has grabbed eyeballs during the 2013 Formula 1 Indian Grand Prix, it is Jessica Michibata, a fashion model and girlfriend of McLaren driver Jenson Button.

Michibata, born to an Argentine father and Japanese mother, was very much the centre of attraction in the paddock at the Buddh Interntational Circuit (BIC).

Her connect with the Indian media and fans was instant as she chose to wear a traditional pink saree for the race Sunday.

"I wanted to wear something Indian. I have always loved the use of colours here. I am glad I got time to do some shopping," the brown-eyed model told IANS at the McLaren team building.

The 29-year-old is not new to India, having done some modelling assignments in the country.

Like most visitors, what has been her wierdest Indian moment?

"I think it is just driving around the city. It can easily be called freaky," she said before posing for the shutterbugs.
