Making human connect most important: DJ Yves V

Panaji (Goa), Oct 27 (IANS): Internationally acclaimed Belgian disc jockey (DJ) Yves enjoys performing for India's energetic crowd and adds that it's important for him to have a human connect with his listeners.

The 32-year-old started with house music at the age of 15 in Belgium and now, after 17 years, he has become a globally known face in the music industry.

"Making a human connect with audiences is really important. The DJs are just behind the console and the audience can just hear their music, so if we try to interact with them in any way possible, it will just double the fun. For me, it's the most important thing in all my performances," Yves said.

Yves spinned the disc for over 3,000 music buffs at the Nazri Resort Ground on the second day of Oktoberfest Goa Saturday.

"This is my fifth or sixth India tour, but I am always excited about performing here. The crowd here gives me so much energy, that it has always been a wonderful experience," Yves told IANS.

"The people here give me so much energy that I can just keep on playing for them," he added.

Praising the crowd at the festival here, he tagged them as "part of a story".

"The people here know the music, so it's always a pleasure to perform in India, especially Goa. For me, today, the crowd was part of a story from the beginning till the end," said the resident DJ for Tomorrowland music festival.

Despite multiple visits, he is yet to explore the real India.

"I have been to India so many times, but unfortunately I have never seen the real India, all I have seen is clubs and pubs. All my shows have been great so far and full with energy. I just love it here," Yves, widely known for his track "Cloud breaker", said.

Dressed in a casual T-shirt, denim shorts paired up with converse shoes, Yves kept the crowd going not just with his music but his looks too, which won him many fans.
