Mahesh Bhatt unveils trailer of 'Yaariyan'


Mumbai, Oct 31 (IANS): Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt unveiled the trailer of actress Divya Khosla Kumar's first directorial venture "Yaariyan" at an event, here Thursday.

Bhatt revealed the trailer with the star-cast of the film and recalls the time when he made musical films like "Aashiqui" and "Aashiqui 2" with T-series, the company that is producing "Yaariyan" too.

"Today when I look back I remember one day Gulshanji (late Gulshan Kumar) told me let's make a musical film and we made 'Aashiqui' which was the highest grosser. And later we made 'Aashiqui 2' with T-Series which was a money spinner. Now I hope even Divya with her debut film will set a record and I wish her all the best," the filmmaker told reporters during the trailer launch of "Yaariyan".

Divya, who was very emotional during the launch, says she was pregnant while directing this film.

She said: "I am very emotional right now. I always wanted to direct a film and my dream has come true. I was pregnant while shooting for this film and I delivered a baby in the course of it. I hope I succeed with 'Yaariyan'."

"Yaariyan" is a youthful commercial entertainer, which stars Himansh Kohli and Rakul Preet Singh.
