Mangalore, Nov 3:  The sports meet and a food festival was held at Holy Cross Church Kulshekar on November 3.

More than 2000 people took part during this meet. All types of food and soft drinks was available at the venue.The leadership of the programme was taken by YCM and the church cultural committee.

Fr Valerian Pinto ,the parish priest ,presided over the function and appreciated the hard work of all volunteers and thanked the parishioners. Renowned sports personality Rita d'souza, special olympics gold winner Royston Pinto and Four Winds mass communication director E Fernandes were the chief guest of the meet.

Rita Pinto explained the importance of the meet and Elias Fernandes appreciated the efforts of YCM and Fr Valerian Pinto and team for having conducted such a meet.

Church vice president Praveen Patrao ,convener Sushil Noronha ,secretary George, and assistant parish priest were all on the dias.

Ruth, the sports secretary compered the program.
