Kundapur, Nov 5: A youth who was travelling in a private bus jumped from it and died on the afternoon of Monday November 4 at Batraadi in Nerelekatte.
The deceased is 21-year-old Praveen Shetty, son of Bhaskar and Jalaja Shetty, resident of Batraadi, Nerelekatte and leaves behind two sisters.
Praveen had gone to a temple nearby and while he was returning home, he caught the private bus. When the bus did not stop at Batraadi, he jumped out of the vehicle and hit a tree which caused him major head injuries. He was immediately taken to Manipal but died enroute.
The distance from the temple to his home is just 10 minutes and he usually walked back. A case has been registered at Kundapur traffic station.
