Puttur, Mar 30: One person was killed and 3 others were seriously injured when a jeep turned turtle at Boodujal near Nelyadi here on Wednesday March 29 night.

While the deceased has been identified as Neelayya (60), only the identity of one among the three injured has been established.

There were 5 persons travelling in the jeep when it overturned at Boodujal.  The jeep was going to Ujire from Kokkada.  The coolie workers in the jeep had gone to cut rubber trees near Kokkada and were on their way back when the accident occurred on Wednesday night.

More details about the accident and identity of the injured are yet awaited.

The Uppinangady police have registered a case in this regard.
