Bantwal: Tension prevails after group attacks two

Bantwal, Nov 6: The situation in Bantwal turned tense after a group attacked two persons in Kelagina Pete on Tuesday November 5 night.

The incident took place near the rural police station.

The victims of the attack have been identified as Jakribettu residents Kiran D’Souza and Lokesh.

It is learnt that the attack was in connection to an incident of transportion of cows at Perla. However, the exact reason is yet to be known.

As per the information obtained, the attack took place when Kiran and Lokesh were going towards Bantwal from BC Road.

As soon as the news spread, people belonging to two different communities gathered. District SP visited the spot and investigated.

Bantwal rural inspector Kabbal Raj controlled the situation at the spot.
