The arrested have been identified as Mohammed Azharuddin (31), a resident of Thotlaguri, Shirva, and Sudhir Devadiga (25), a resident of Admar in Kunjur, Uchila.

It is said that police had obtained information that the accused would be returning by train from Goa. Accordingly, the police arrested them at the railway station early morning on Saturday, sources said.

They were later taken to Bunder police station.

A group of five persons had brutally attacked Nazir and Lathif in broad daylight at Kodialbail here on Tuesday November 5. While Lathif was seriously injured, Nasir managed to escape. The two are accused of being part of a group that attempted to murder BJP leader Chandrashekar Uchil in 2004. They were coming out from the court after the hearing when the attack took place.

The murders are increasing too many in Karnatak. This may be due to our delayed justice or finalization of punishment to the culprit. There should not be any concession in punishment without bias to the gender or age.Thanq.
