Nikhilesh Holla adjudged best individual chess player

Mangalore, Nov 11: Nikhilesh M Holla, student of Canara High School, Urva, Mangalore was adjudged the Best Individual Player in below-17 years category in the chess tournament organised during the 29th National Games 2013-14 under the auspices of School Games Federation of India at Tadepalligundam, Andhra Pradesh from October 27 to 31.

Total of five Best Individual Player prizes were awarded in this category.

Boys team of Karnataka put up excellent performance and maintained 2nd place up to 4th round of this tournament, but had to be satisfied with getting 4th place in the final round where they had to face very stiff competition.

Nikhilesh has also bagged the 3rd place in 400-metre Free Style Category during SGFI State Level Swimming Competition held at Bangalore on October 22 and 23.
