M'lore: St Aloysius 'Pre Unique' to be held on Nov 15 and 16

Mangalore, Nov 12:
"The well-known inter collegiate variety event 'Pre Unique 2013' hosted by the St Aloysius P U College will be held on November 15 and 16," said Fr Elvis C Lewis, principal of St Aloysius P U College, addressing the press meet at the press club on Tuesday November 12

"Pre Unique is a yearly cultural and intellectual event that our college hosts for Pre University Colleges of our state. This year the college is proud to host competitions along with high school students of our district. The best talents will be chosen over two consecutive days and awarded for their performance and skills," he said.

The event consists of 21 competitions for P U students, such as Freelance- News bulletin, the third eye-live photography, 'Curtain Raiser'-Ice breaker, 'Simulate'- model making, 'Floral Symphony'- Flower Arrangement, 'Action Gami'- Dumb Charades, 'Speechless'- Mime, 'Motor Mouth'- just-a-minute sessions and much more.

10 competitions will be held for high school students such as Tit -bit collage, Flight of fancy-poetry writing, 'Kavitha Madhuri', brainstorm- quiz, mask-face painting, natya rasa- thematic dance and so on.

The college is expecting around 30 colleges and high schools to participate in this unique cultural and intellectual extravaganza. 'Pre Unique 2013' will be inaugurated on Friday, November 15 at 8:45 am by Dr Arati H Shetty, Principal, Sarsa College of Science and Arts.

Fr Francis Xavier Gomes, administrator, Milagres Educational Institutions will be the chief guest of the valedictory ceremony that will be held on Saturday, November 16 at 4:15 pm, he added.

Professor Rekha K Alva, Vice principal; Dr Ganesh Ameen Sankamar, dean; Dr Pradeep M, associate dean; Alwyn D’Souza, HOD Hindi Department; event organizers Kiran Shetty, Geetha Nambiar, Sujith Kumar and Arun D’Souza were present.
