New Delhi, May 21: There was high drama on the Ahmedabad bound Indian Airlines flight IC 861 at the Palam Airport. The flight was scheduled to depart at 6:15 pm (IST) when a passenger claimed she was a human bomb.
There was panic on board after which the passenger was taken off the plane. While the aircraft was taken to a remote area of the tarmac, all the baggage was screened.
The foreigner has been detained for questioning and though no confirmation has come, in all probability she was in an inebriated state.
The scheduled flight was delayed for three hours and finally took off at 9:00 pm (IST) after passengers were shifted to another aircraft.
This is the second such incident. Earlier this year, a man robbed a Delhi bank of Rs 42 lac claiming he was a human bomb.
