Gurmeet-Debina to compete on 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 5'

Mumbai, Feb 5 (IANS): Actors Gurmeet Choudhary and his wife Debina Bonnerjee might have recently lost the winner's trophy of celebrity dance reality show "Nach Baliye 6" but they are now ready to lock horns in action-adventure show "Khatron Ke Khiladi 5".

After having rehearsed for long hours, Debina feels that she is finally ready for the power-packed show.

"Over the past couple of months, we have built our fitness levels by rehearsing for dance performances non-stop and now, we will be using those fitness levels to compete in 'Khatron Ke Khiladi'," Debina said in a statement.

The show will be shot in South Africa and will be aired March-April on Colors.

"We are excited to head to South Africa for the shoot of 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' and test our personal limits through the different stunts that will come our way," she added.

The show will provide the right platform to Gurmeet to showcase his action stunts, he said.

"Dance and action are two qualities that make me who I am. Over the years, I have tested my dancing prowess, and now, with 'Khatron Ke Khiladi', I am looking forward to showcasing that I am just as adept at playing the action hero," said Gurmeet.

Apart from them, the other names who have been roped in for the show include Ranvir Shorey, Gauahar Khan, Kushal Tandon, Mugdha Godse, Rochelle Maria Rao, Nikitin Dheer, Dayanand Shetty, Salman Yusuff Khan, Mahi Vij, Pooja Gor, Rajniesh Duggall and stuntwoman Geeta Tandon.

While the show has been hosted by the likes of Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra, the fifth season of the action-adventure show will be hosted by filmmaker Rohit Shetty.
