Mapro Strawberry Festival reaches Mumbai


Mumbai, Feb 6 (IANS): The Mapro Strawberry Festival, which started in Panchgani in 2007, now comes to Mumbai.

Starting Friday, the festival, which was also introduced in Pune last year, will be held at Big Bazaar outlets of Phoenix Market City, Growel Mall, Nirmal Mall and R City Mall here.

Organised by Mapro Foods, the manufacturer of jams, fruit beverage concentrates - crushes and squashes and fruit bars, the theme of the three-day festival is - I Love Strawberry.

"The Strawberry Festival has been a tremendous success in Panchgani for the last seven years. Taking it a step further, we decided to bring the festival to Mumbai and Pune," Mayur Vora, managing director, Mapro Foods Pvt. Ltd., said in a statement.

"Our aim is to spread the sweetness of the fruit across the country and bring strawberry lovers to a common destination to indulge and win exciting goodies from Mapro," he added.

From interactive games, goodie bags and a chance to relish the fruit coming straight from the farms in Mahabaleshwar, it offers a lot of exciting activities.
