Team 'Baahubali' to honour hardworking artists

Chennai, Feb 27 (IANS): Team "Baahubali" has started a campaign called 'Star of the Week' to reward those who have constantly shown their commitment towards the making of the film, which will come out in 2015.

Directed by S.S. Rajamouli, period-drama "Baahubali" is the most-anticipated Telugu film. It features Prabhas Varma, Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty in lead roles.

This week, three background artists Ghouse, Lagaan and Srinu have been awarded for their hard work.

"Last week, when there was an internal shortage of manpower, these three artists stepped up to make sure shoot started on time. Not only did they dress themselves up early, they helped the costume department in dressing up the remaining 350-400 artists," read a post on the film's official Facebook page.

"This is usually a tough job as it involves dealing with tying shoes using pieces of cloth, necklaces, amulets and other jewelry items, thereby saving the day," the post read further.

Besides this, the team has also decided to release a bulletin every week announcing the developments on the project.

Touted to be a Rs.100 crore project, the film is jointly produced by Shobu Yarlagadda, Prasad Devineni and K. Raghavendra Rao.
