Indian doctor fined for insulting female colleague


Dubai, Feb 28 (IANS): An Indian doctor was fined 100 Bahraini dinar (about $265) for insulting a woman colleague in Bahrain.

A lower criminal court in Bahrain's capital Manama Thursday convicted the doctor, who works at Salmaniya Medical Complex, for insulting a female Bahraini doctor,the Gulf Daily News reported Friday.

He said she "disrespected" him on social media networks.

The woman accused him of not knowing how to treat his colleagues, the doctor said.
