Pakistani Taliban announce month-long truce


Islamabad, March 1 (IANS): The outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Saturday announced a month-long ceasefire.

The move is likely to resolve a deadlock in the peace talks with the government.

According to Dawn online, TTP spokesman Shahidullah Shahid has said that the umbrella organisation has directed all groups to honour the ceasefire.
