UAE: Vishwanath Shetty to lead Gammath Kalavider

Dubai, Mar 2: Vishwanath Shetty has been elected the president of Gammath Kalavider UAE, an amateur Tulu drama troupe of UAE established in 2011 to provide a common platform to Tulu drama artistes to showcase their talents.

After successfully staging many dramas around the UAE under the leadership of Vasu Shetty, in order to reach further heights a new working committee was nominated for the year 2014-2015 at the general meeting of the Association held recently at Das Prakash Hotel, Dubai.

Vishwanath Shetty was elected the president of Gammath Kalavider, UAE for the year 2014-2015. The gathering was welcomed by Suvarna Sathish. Vasu Shetty, founder conveyer of Gammath Kalavider spoke about his tenure and thanked his committee members for their support and encouragement.


New Committee:

Vishwanath Shetty : President

Rajesh Kutthar : Secretary

Suvarna Sathish: Treasurer

Harish Bangera continues as patron and Vasu Shety as the advisor, Chidananda Poojary, Sampath Shetty and Deepak Poojary were nominated as core comitee members/ Ramesh Suvarna is in-charge of media.

Gammath Kalavider UAE not only stages Tulu dramas every year for charity and noble causes, it has also become a role model to other organisations by donating Rs 12,00,000 till date for supporting and understanding needs of poor and unfortunate people of society.
