Preliminary meeting held for MP elections at Borivali

Mumbai, Mar 10: ‘I have been inspired by the mass support for my candidature to contest in the forthcoming general elections.  I am just a candidate, while the voters determine my destiny.  You have the greater role to play to convince the voters.  If they choose me as MP I will be ready for their service.  I have trust in the voters who have supported me for nearly 3 decades.  I am grateful to BJP for choosing me as a candidate and continue my social welfare activities,’ said Gopal C Shetty, BJP contestant for the forthcoming parliamentary elections fromm Borivali constituency here.

Gopal was speaking during a preliminary meeting of Tulu – Kannadigas settled in the metro at Megha auditorium, Symphony Road, Borivali (West) here on Sunday March 9.

Mundappa Payyade, Shankar D Poojary, Arvind Shetty (AHAAR) N G Bhat (Havyaka Sangh), Vasant Kumar, Rangappa C Gowda, Virar Shankar Shetty, Dr Vinay Jain, S K Salian appealed to fellow Tulu – Kannadigas to support Gopal Shetty in the forthcoming general elections.
 
Padmanabha S Payyade, Dr P C Shetty, Raghuram K Shetty (Belgaum), Karnire Vishwanat Shetty, Prakash Shetty Kalattoor, Subash Shetty, K Vasant Shetty (BJP), Karunakar S Shetty, Rakesh G Shetty, Sanoor Manohar S Kamat, Vijay D Poojary, Krishna T Amin, Tanuja Hegde, Suresh Shetty, Ravindra S.Shetty, Chandrashekar Shetty, Gangadhar J Poojary, Harish N Shetty Malad, Nitte Damodar Acharya, Belapuguttu Chandrashekar Shetty, Vittal S Alva, Ratnakar Shetty Mundkoor, Jayakar D Poojary, Divakar Shetty Adyar, Bunts community veterans, and others offered assurances to strive for the victory of Gopal.

Aikala Harish Shetty welcomed the gathering.  The key organizer Yermal Harish Shetty, Ramesh Shetty Payyaru, Bhaskar Sarapady, Manjunat Bannur, Laxman Poojary and others garlanded Gopal Shetty and conveyed best wishes for his victory in the general elections.Ratnakar N Shetty compered the programme.  Ramesh Shivapura proposed vote of thanks.

The office bearers of several Tulu – Kannadiga organizations, veteran hoteliers and hundreds of people were present on the occasion.
