Arvind Kejriwal, AAP members booked for causing chaos at Mumbai airport

Mumbai, Mar 13 (Agencies): In yet another trouble for former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, he and some members of his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) were on Thursday booked for causing disturbances in various parts of the city and at the airport during his road show yesterday.

According to reports, Kejriwal and some members of his party, including Preeti Sharma, were booked under the Bombay Police Act 37 (3). They have been charged under Sections of 188, 141 and 143 by the Mumbai Police.

The AAP leaders have been blamed for causing great inconvenience to the common public during their road show here yesterday.

AAP convenor Kejriwal was blamed for jumping a traffic signal. The party has also faced criticism for not taking prior permission from the concerned authorities for its road show.

However, the party has hit back, saying it is an attempt to malign the party.

The AAP has blamed police for the incident and said there was no personnel to clear the chasing cameras and though Kejriwal's auto stopped at the traffic signal, police forced it to move forward.

Reacting to the charge that Kejriwal did not take due permission for his road show, the party said, "This (commute from the airport to Churchgate railway station) was no road show or event. The misreporting that we broke some law in this journey is malicious, to the say the least."

The AAP also pointed a finger at police for isolating Kejriwal at the Andheri Railway Station, and forcing him to enter through a wrong entrance, while party volunteers were waiting for him at another entrance with full preparation to ensure that normal Mumbai commuters were not affected.

"This led to complete mayhem as there weren't enough police to handle the craze that set off on seeing Kejriwal, many people tried to reach out to shake hands, wish him... And the situation became quite chaotic."

Alleging misreporting on the issue of damage to scanners at Churchgate, the party said that "defunct scanners fell due to the media frenzy and surging supporters... They were down for a few minutes and immediately put back in place by our volunteers and no damage was caused".

"AAP is really curious as to what levies will Home Minister (RR Patil) extract from the AAP for a momentary collapse of defunct scanners when he has failed to extract any levy from parties which burn and damage public property on a routine basis," the party said.

"We state that whatever little disturbances that were caused during Kejriwal's visit, were due to poor handling of law and order, of the overzealous media, who risked public safety in their quest for visuals," it added.

Kejriwal is currently touring Maharashtra, and as part of his four-day visit to the state, he has arrived in Nagpur today.

AAP was good, but now it is making more dramas and wasting every one's time. He should think of a smoother running of the nation than to attract all people. I am not happy his Rs.20,000/- donation per dinner show.

    Dear Friends,

Just think of the developments of AK in last one week..

First landed in Gujarath, trying to enter Modi's house without even informing modi, but to informing all the media houses,

Getting arrested of his own, then blaming gujarath police and Modi,

    Attacking BJP HQ in Delhi,

Blaming Modi for using Helicopter, but traveled in Pvt Jet on the same day,

Smearing Ink on Yogendra yadhav by his own AAP member,

Getting exposed in Interview with AAJTAK,

Vandalizing at Mumbai churchgate station, broke metal detector, caused inconvenience to commuters, Traffic jam, Broke all signals and election code of conduct,

Broke the rules in Mumbai airport...

Why all this Drama.. Day by day Drama, What does he think of the people of the nation is.. are we fools to understand his negative publicity.. does he think that the negative publicity will give him Votes... Really cant digest this cheap publicity of trying to be in the NEWS at ANY COST..

    DISGUSTING......

As long as common people in India are trying to figure out how to get their ration cards, driving license, water approvals, school admission and so on without paying BRIBES to authorities or their agents AAP is safe in India. Its popularity shows that people in India have started thinking rationally rather than emotionally.

    Kejriwal booked for causing chaos?
While so many are spared not even FIR filed against them for completely stopping the life of the city?
What a double standard for common man?
But Congress is little better than Gujarat BJP.
Booking for offence is civil action.
But in Gujarat, Kejriwal was not even allowed to give public address, stones pelted at his car, black flags shown and what not!
    Very barbaric action.
Difference in Maharashtra Congress and Gujarat BJP can be seen!

It is quite possible seeing the popularity of Kejriwal among common Mumbaikars and feeling of insecurity opposition must have sent their goons to mingle with AAP worker and create chaos and havoc.

Shame on RR Patil. Shiv Sena and MNS have destroyed so much govt property in Maharashtra. UP & Bihar people have been often beaten, insulted and driven out of Mumbai. Due to their atrocities hundreds of thousands UP, Bihari people ran from Nasik and surrounding areas and industries there are closed. Raj Thackeray openly challenged RR Patil to arrest him after destroying toll nakas and assaulting employees. Every time for the last 6 years RRP has been saying that he would consult legal dept and upto now he could not get any police act or section to deal with them. SP leader in Mumbai called RRP a eunuch on TV.

But, when something happens that too due to police laxity, RRP immediately gets to know the Police Act and Sections to charge AAP. This is the double standard and policy of convenience.

All these desperate political parties are up in arms to find any little matter to nail Kejriwal as they are very much scared of AAP popularity. Now they are using police to file cases wherever he goes and whatever he does! Looks like he will be booked even for using a public toilet, such is the desperation!

Allen, what you mean by wherever he goes & whatever he does..he broke EC directive in Gujrat, was he was right?..he broke all law in Delhi, was he right?..Look at the chaos his supporters created in Airport..how you can say he is right..he denies security, if something happens in Gujrat BJP has to answer & if something happens in Mumbai Congress has to answer..he is politician, something like celebrity..he can not travel in Auto/Buses/train for cheap publicity..chaos will happen, then he only to blame..Kujliwal has to control himself/stop this nonsense, his cheap publicity stunt will one day take someones life..

AAP and Kejriwal are puppets of CIA/US state department. Rajdeep Sardesai - another stooge of the west openly admitted it was he who pitched the idea of "tahir square" like revolution to Kejriwal. Look at Ukraine today and its "maidan revolution" funded by the west, or the Egyptian or Lybian choas. They want India to go through the same path so new puppets can be installed, Kashmir can be given away to Pakistan. It is no different then British is installing new "kings" to replace the old ones, and making the citizens feel as if they were doing them a favor.

Allen, that is exactly the point. To make India a "banana republic" to make it a puppet state. AAP/Kejriwal kind of experiments have been tried infinite times across the world.
