Mangalore, Jun 12: Noted Konkani writer Victor Rodrigues Anjelore was presented with the prestigious Danti Memorial Award for his Kannada book "Arogya Darshini" on Sunday June 11.  The award presentation ceremony was held at Bishop's House here.

The annual Danti Memorial Award is given by Catholic Sabha, Mangalore region for the Kannada literary works of the Konkani writers.

The award was presented by chief guest and president of the Konkani Writers Forum Dolphy Cascia.  Earlier Dr Jerald Pinto introduced the awardee to the gathering. Catholic Sabha presidents Andrew Noronha, Amcho Sandesh editor Peter Jerry Rodrigues, secretary George Ligory D’Souza were also present on the dais.

Andrew Noronha welcomed the gathering and George Ligory D'Souza proposed the vote of thanks.  Catholic Sabha former president Alphonse D'Costa compered the programme.
