Mangalore, Jun 12: A housewife of Tamil origin was found murdered in front of the Mobility Centre for Visually Impaired at Babugudda near Attavar here on Monday June 12 morning.

The police sources said that the unidentified woman belonged to the rag-pickers community and lived with her husband at Attavar.  The couple used to speak Tamil language.  It is also said that the couple had the habit of drinking alcohol which usually ended in regular fight between the couple.

On Sunday June 11 night, the localites heard them fighting but no one bothered since it was a regular happening.  It was only on Monday morning that they found the woman found dead.  She had sustained injuries in her head and the reports said that she might have died owing to excessive bleeding.

Meanwhile the husband has fled the place which confirmed his hand in the murder.

The Pandeshwar police have booked a case in this regard.
