Mangalore, Jun 14:
Angered at the shop owner's refusal to exchange a damaged T-shirt, a group of 10-15 people barged into an apparel shop near Rao and Rao Circle here on Tuesday June 13 night and smashed furniture while injuring the shop owner and a lady accountant.

The injured, shop owner Mohammed Anwar and computer operator cum Sarita, have been admitted to a private hospital here.

Two people had bought a T-shirt from this shop on Tuesday June 13 evening. A bit later they returned, claiming the T-shirt was damaged and asking for a replacement. But the shopkeeper refused to exchange saying that the T-shirt had been washed and hence no replacement can be given.

Later in the night, the persons, along with ten others, went to the shop armed with iron rods and wooden clubs and assaulted the shop owner.

A case has been lodged with the Bunder police.
