MANGALORE, Jun 15: Subhashchandra Bose High School headmaster Marayya and teacher Narayana, facing charges of sexual harassment; have been asked by the DDPI to go on long leave pending enquiry.

SDMC members and students who were picketing the school in Mallikatte demanded the immediate suspension of the headmaster and the teacher who had sullied the school’s environment with their lewd behaviour.

The students complained that these teachers used to send boys out of the class and teach the girls by locking the door from inside. The teachers were even accused of taking pictures of girls with their mobile cameras.

The students told media persons that the headmaster had invited them to his house at midnight promising to conduct special classes. The teachers had threatened students of dire consequences if they were exposed.

Marayya, who was transferred to the school three years ago, had faced similar charges in Markanja High School of Sullia, where he had worked earlier.
