Mangalore, Jun 16: Al-Mullah National Exchange of Kuwait has filed a case against a resident of Bhatkal, in the Pandeshwar police station for cheating Rs 6.30 lac to the money exchange company.

C Altaf Jariwala was working as the representative of Al-Mullah Exchange Company in the city for sometime. One Mohammad Jamal of Bhatkal was working as marketing executive of this company in the city.

However, Mohammad, after receiving money from the customers did not deposit in the company account.  He is said to have deposited the money into the bank accounts of his relatives in Bhatkal and in the city.  The accused Mohammad Jamal is said to have cheated a total of Rs 6.30 lac from January 1, 2006 to January 31, 2006.

Thereafter he is said to have been absent for duty without any prior notice.  In the past 5 months he has not reported back to his duty.

So a complaint has been filed against him in the Pandeshwar police station in this regard.
