Udupi: Jun 18: The alumni of St Mary’s School, Shirva in association with Rotary Club Shirva Catholic Sabha and K S Hegde Memorial Medical College, Derlakatte, Mangalore organized a free medical camp at the Community Health Centre, Shirva.

MLA Lalaji Mendon inaugurated the health camp.

 

Rotary 3180 former assistant governor Thukaram Shetty and Rotary 3180 assistant Governor Abubakar were the chief guests on the occasion.

President of the alumni association Dr Gururaj K, rotary president Inaynth Assadi, Catholic Sabaha president William Machado, Rohan Monis, Andrew Monis and Dr Devdas Rai were there on the dais.


Nearly 350 patients benefited from the camp. General health checkup was done by the doctors from KSHEMA, while dental checkup was done by Dr Gururaj.

Free medicines were also distributed to all the needy patients. Around 40 patients were registered for surgeries which will be carried out free of cost later at the KSHEMA Hospital, Mangalore.
