Bantwal, Jun 18: The New Life Centre in Salettur in Kolnad village which was said to be operating since one year has closed down. It was alleged that the members of the centre were involved in forceful conversions to Christianity.
When this was noticed by the locals who also planned to raid the centre, the members have fled the place.
The centre was functioning in a rented house belonging to Sulaiman. As the news of conversations spread in the village, the team was summoned by the police following a complaint by the locals.
But all the three member of the team are absconding. The locals have said that they fled the place and have locked their house. However no information has been obtained on when the team left the village.
The team was said to be visiting poor families and conducts prayer services in their houses.
