Sullia, Jul 14: In another incident of electrocution in the taluk, a MESCOM employee was electrocuted while undertaking repair works at Rangamattale near Aletti here on Thursday July 13 evening.
Venkappa Gowda (47) was a employee with MESCOM for long. On Thursday evening he was undertaking some repair works at Rangamattale. He had almost completed his work when he was suddenly electrocuted after he came in touch with a live wire.
As a result he was thrown away and sustained injuries too. He was immediately rushed in to hospital here. However, he succumbed to the injuries in the hospital later.
Sullia police have registered a case in this regard.
