Bangalore, Jul 15: Chief minister H D Kumaraswamy met governor T N Chaturvedi on Friday and held discussions with him.
The visit is said to be exclusively in the matter of appointment of a new Lokayukta in replacement for Justice Venkatachala, who retired on July 1.

As largely expected, the government is said to have recommended the name of retired Supreme Court judge Justice Nitte Santosh Hegde as the new incumbent to the post.
An official announcement confirming the appointment is expected to be out in the coming 2-3 days.
