Mob Loots Two Persons

Mangalore: A group of six unknown persons assaulted two persons near the Tannir Bhavi beach recently. The group snatched a pendent and Rs 800 from Uday Kumar while Rs 400 was snatched from Avinash.
A case of dacoity has been registered in the Panambur Police Station.

Theft in Schools

Puttur/ Mangalore: Thieves broke into Panchayat High School in Kabaka Village between Jun 27 and 28 and have stolen goods used for the mid-day meal scheme. The thieves broke the door lock and carried away three LPG cylinders worth Rs 2,500.

In another report, thieves broke into the kitchen of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat High School Meenade Keenya and stole kitchen items valued about Rs 15,000
The theft occurred on Jul 13.

Counterfeit Currency Notes Found

Mangalore: Counterfeit currency notes were found during daily cash transaction at ICICI Bank situated at Pai Land Building on P M Road here recently.
According to a complaint lodged at the Mangalore North Police Station, the Bank found 45 counterfeit currency notes of Rs 500, Rs 100 and Rs 50 denomination.
