Moodbidri, Jul 19: A student of Madhya Pradesh origin who had fallen from the top of her apartment a couple of days ago, succumbed to injuries in a private hospital at Mangalore on Tuesday July 18.

Shweta (18) had come to Moodbidri from Madhya Pradesh for her physiotherapy course.  She was residing in a house in Shalimar Apartment near Mahaveer College along with her mother and a relative. She had got admission in one of the professional colleges in the town for her course too.

Shweta is said to have fallen from the top of the building on Friday July 14 while talking on the cell phone.  As a result she had sustained serious injuries and was admitted to a private hospital in Mangalore.  During her stay there in the hospital for the last 4 days, she did not show any signs of recovery and ultimately succumbed to injuries on Tuesday.

It is said that she was suffering from epilepsy.  Her mother has filed a complaint with the Moodbidri police in this regard and stated that her fall was an accident.
