Karkala, Jul 21: In a surprising turn of events, a college boy who had gone missing from Tuesday July18, was traced in Jammu Kashmir. 

Ganesh Bhat (17), son of Shankar Bhat, main priest at Durgaparameshwari Temple at Kukkundoor near here, was a second PUC Science student at Bhuvanendra College here.   He had gone missing from Tuesday.  As there were no clues about his whereabouts, his family members had filed a case with the town police in this regard.

However, he was traced in Jammu on Friday July 21 morning by the Jammu police.  It is said that Ganesh had gone to Delhi by Nizamuddin Express.  After reaching Delhi he had called his friends in the town and informed them that he was in Delhi.  They immediately passed the news to his parents.

His family members also informed about Ganesh's whereabouts to their relatives in Delhi.  Meanwhile, his snap was sent through email to a businessman in Jammu who is a relative of Karkala based jeweller Kishore Acharya.

He contacted the Jammu police who based on the snap and other details, traced Ganesh in the railway station.  He is yet to be brought to the town.
