'Holiday...' crosses Rs.100 crore mark


New Delhi, June 22 (IANS): Akshay Kumar starrer "Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty", which focuses on terrorism and sleeper cells, has earned over Rs.100 crore in three weeks at the domestic box office.

The A.R. Murugadoss directorial hit the screens June 6.

“#Holiday [Week 3] Fri 1.02 cr, Sat 1.87 cr. Grand total: (Rs.) 102.62 cr nett. India biz. HIT,” trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted Sunday.

Akshay's action sequences were promoted as real along with the shoot locations. Sonakshi Sinha also got a chance to display her sporty side in the film even if it was for a short time.

The movie has been presented by Reliance Entertainment and produced by Vipul Shah, with whom Akshay has given hit films like “Namastey London" and "Waqt: The Race Against Time".
