Pooja Gandhi agrees Kalpana inspired 'Abhinetri'

Bangalore, Jun 25: Pooja Gandhi of 'Mungaaru Male' fame has agreed at last that her upcoming controversial film 'Abhinetri' is based on Kannada actress Kalpana.

When the movie's still was released in the media, Pooja Gandhi told the media that the movie was about a fictional actress based in 70's. When asked whether it is about Kalpana, she denied it.

Yesterday during an interview with a TV channel, Pooja Gandhi agreed that her movie was inspired by actress Kalpana. 'Abhinetri' is in news from many days due to an author who has filed a case against the makers, alleging that the film is based on her novel.

Kalpana was one of the few female superstars in 1970's. At one point of time in her career, she was more popular than legend Rajkumar. At the fag end of her career, she starred in many unsuccessful movies. This affected her love life and she was found dead one day. The exact reason for her death is still a mystery. We will have to see whether 'Abhinetri' helps Kalpana's fans to solve the mystery.
