University students protest at minister's house

New Delhi, June 29 (IANS): Around 100 Delhi University students Sunday protested at Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani's house here against the scrapping of a four-year undergraduate course.

The students are pursuing B.Tech and BMS courses. With the university reverting back to the three-year undergraduate programme, these students who opted for the four-year course feel they face an uncertain future.

The six B.Tech and Bachelors of Honours in Management Studies (BMS) courses will be rolled back and there will be no fresh admissions to them, the university said Saturday.
