North Korea fires shells near border


Pyongyang, July 14 (IANS): North Korea Monday fired artillery shells from the region near the military demarcation line (MDL), a South Korean military official said.

The official told Xinhua that North Korea launched the artillery shells from the region hundreds of metres north of the Demilitarised Zone (DMZ) in Goseong, a border town some 200 km northeast of Seoul.
