New Delhi, Aug 14:
CNN-IBN is launching its Hindi news channel on Independence Day in a move that could completely transfrom the television news space in India.

The new channel, IBN 7 promises to symbolise the spirit of 'whatever it takes', the same spirit that has made CNN-IBN the country's number one English news channel in just eight months of being on air.

News, no matter what the odds. News, no matter what it takes - that's what the newest Hindi channel IBN 7 is committing to the audiences. And they will do it with a new look and a new vigour.

It's clearly a brand new chapter in Hindi television journalism because it brings with it the mantra of Khabar Har Keemat Par (News at any cost).

With known faces of Hindi journalism as part of the team, the entire programming and packaging completely transformed, IBN 7 is all set to break new ground.

Says IBN 7 managing editor, Ashutosh, "IBN 7 will be a revolutionary news product. The experiment that CNN-IBN has done in the past few months will be repearted by us."

IBN 7's greatest USP is its synergistic relationship with CNN-IBN and the Television 18 network, giving it a cutting edge in getting the news and telling it as it happens.

Editor-in-chief, CNN-IBN, Rajdeep Sardesai, says, "We want to combine the aggression of Hindi journalism with the sophistication of English to create a world class hard news product."

And IBN 7 will do 'whatever it takes', to keep you better informed about the times you live in.

And so here begins the first step of pushing the frontiers of journalism and setting up the next phase of a news revolution in India.
