Bangalore, Sep 1: The declared monthly income of Ministers in the H.D. Kumaraswamy Government ranges from a meagre Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 10 lakh. While C.M. Udasi, a senior MLA from Hangal in Haveri district, earns Rs. 4,000, Iqbal Ansari, a first-time MLA from Gangavati in Koppal district, earns Rs. 9.98 lakh, according to the statements of assets and liabilities filed before the Lok Ayukta.

Minister for Forests C. Chennigappa gets Rs. 1.35 lakh as rent and "nearly about Rs. 6 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh from agricultural sources." Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy earns an income of Rs. 1.18 lakh, while his brother, H.D. Revanna, has declared an earning Rs. 1.26 lakh.

Other Ministers who earn more than Rs. 1 lakh are Katta Subramanya Naidu (Rs. 2.87 lakh), Balachandra L. Jarkiholi (Rs. 2.5 lakh), D.T. Jayakumar (Rs. 1.61 lakh), M.P. Prakash (Rs. 1.3 lakh), N. Chaluvarayaswamy (Rs. 1.05 lakh) and Shashikant Akkappa Nayak (Rs. 1.25 lakh), as per the declarations.

Those who earn in the thousands are B.S. Yediyurappa (Rs. 79,208), B. Nagaraja Shetty (Rs. 80,000), Basavaraj Horatti (Rs. 50,790), H.K. Kumaraswamy (Rs. 44,250), Bandeppa Kashempur (Rs. 36,000), Govind Karjol (Rs. 37,500), B. Sreeramulu (Rs. 28,850), Jagadish Shettar (Rs. 25,000), Revu Nayak Belamagi (Rs. 25,000), Zamir Ahmed (Rs. 22,877), S.A. Ravindranath (Rs. 12,500) and Shivananda N. Nayak (Rs. 8,333).

Senior BJP leader and Cabinet Minister K.S. Eshwarappa has a declared income of Rs. 41,665 and Rs. 11,333 from other sources while his colleague V.S. Acharya earns Rs. 30,000.

D.H. Shankaramurthy and R. Ashok have not declared their incomes. Ramachandre Gowda states his income as Rs. 1.11 lakh from salary and allowances given to him as a legislator.
