Oman, Sep 18: The most popular recent hit Kannada movie of Prakash Raj 'Oggarane' will be released in screens at Muscat, Oman for the Kannadiga community on September 19 and 20 at Stars Cinema, CBD Ruwi with show timings at 6:30 pm and 9:30 pm.

Multi-talented Kannadiga filmmaker Prakash Raj, who plays almost all the roles in the process of movie making is successful with his latest offering Oggarane, the remake of Malayalam hit Salt and Pepper. The multi-lingual actor has shot the film simultaneously, in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu, which is titled Oggarane, Un Samayal Arayil and Ulavacharu Biriyani respectively.

Oggarane is all about the story of a middle aged unmarried archaeologist Kalidasa (Prakash Raj), who is a foodie. He likes old things and his only companion is his cook Babu (Achyuth Kumar). His nephew Naveen (Tejus) comes to his place in search of a job. Kalidasa's boring life comes to a twist when he receives a wrong call from Gowri (Sneha), a spinster, who is a dubbing artist and lives as a paying guest. What happens next forms the storyline.

Prakash Raj has a tailor-made role in the film. He effortlessly emotes the pain and the solitude of an unmarried man. Beside Prakash, Sneha also steals the show. Young talents like Tejas and Samyuktha Hornad have done a wonderful job in their respective roles. Achyuth Kumar, who is not a new artist in playing supporting roles in Prakash Raj's film is impressive as an innocent companion for an unmarried boss. Other actors in the supporting roles like Urvashi, Mandya Ramesh, Thambi Ramaiah, Vidyullekha Raman and Elango Kumaravel will whip up some real fresh cream with thick sugar syrup.

On the technical front, camera work by newbie Preetha is the major highlight of Oggarane. Her cinematography has surely added to the fluid texture of the film. Music maestro Ilayaraja's music will never disappoint the audience. Soothing background score and melodious tracks will give warmth feeling to our heart. Prakash Raj is a winner as an actor, director and a producer. After Kannada movie 'Naanu Nanna Kanasu,' here is another movie for the Kannada audience to get bowled over by a multi-talented filmmaker.

Overall it is a good family entertainer with a mix of comedy, romance and sentiment which is being appreciated all over.

Advance bookings have begun and tickets are available only at Stars Cinema theater in Ruwi-Muscat.
