Delhi gives DMRC Rs.200 crore


New Delhi, Sep 27 (IANS): The Delhi government Saturday infused Rs.200 crore funds into metro rail operator DMRC for the development of the phase three of the mass rapid transport system.

According to an official statement, the funds were sanctioned by Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung and are subject to regulatory obligations.

While Delhi Metro now has a total of 31 underground stations, phase three alone will have 28 underground metro stations. The total length of the underground corridor presently is 48.06 km but the next phase alone will have underground corridors of 41.044 km.
