Zivame.com to organise Hackathon for engineers

Bangalore, Nov 8 (IANS): Online is emerging strongly in the country with each passing day and technology plays a prominent role in the development. Keeping this in mind, online lingerie store Zivame.com is set to organise Hackathon in a bid to attract technology driven engineering talents.

The event is scheduled to take place here Nov 14 and will go on till noon Nov 15, when the results will be declared, said a statement.

The online store is holding the event in an attempt to expand its tech team and looks forward to entries from both front and back-end developers.

Interested people can register online to participate in the event, in which they can take part individually or as a two-member team. Zivame team will also send relevant material to the participants to help them prepare for the event.

Adding to the fun and to test the skills of the candidates, challenges for the Hackathon will be announced on the spot. However, the emphasis will be on a candidate's coding practices - reusable and maintainable code.

"The entire consumer experience is driven by technology - from the website to the delivery to feedback. Therefore, we are always looking for exceptional engineering talent. A Hackathon helps replicate real life coding problems that we want to test our applicants on, in a fun and engaging, yet professional atmosphere," said CTO of the store Shyam Krishnamurthy in a statement.

Since the event will require candidates to work at night, they should bring their own linen as basic sleeping facilities will be provided by the company.
