Subrahmanya Math celebrates ‘Shashti’ with religious fervour

Mumbai, Nov 29: Sri Subrahmanya Math at Chembur celebrated ‘Skanda Shashti’ festival on Thursday November 27 with gaiety. The religious celebrations were held with the blessings and guidance of Sri Kshetra Subrahmanya chief priest Vidyatheertha Prasanna Theertha Swami and under the leadership of Sripad Bhat of the Math.

Vishnu Karanth, Naravi Gururaj Bhat, Krishnaraj Upadhya, and Pameshwara Adiga guided different programmes such as ‘Nirmalya Visarjane’, ‘Abhisheka’, ‘Ashlesha Bali’, ‘Navaka Prasada’, ‘Homa’, and ‘Kalasha’, ‘Mahabhishekha’, ‘Pooja’, ‘Bhajans’, ‘Theertha Prasada’, ‘Annasantharpane’, and others as per religious customs and traditions.









“The celebrations concluded with ‘Panchavadya’, ‘Chende’, ‘Nagaswara’ and other religious slogans. A large number of devotees participated in the celebrations. ‘Panchavimshathi’, ‘Kalashapoorvaka’, ‘Sampokshane’ and ‘Mahapooja’, ‘Bhajans’, and distribution of ‘Prasadam’ will be held on Friday November 28,” said Sripada Bhat, official of the Math.
