CM travels in Mumbai local during Peak Hour

Mumbai, Dec 30 (PTI): Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today traveled by a suburban train and interacted with commuters.

He boarded the 6.29 PM Kalyan fast local from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) after attending a function at Colaba in South Mumbai.

Officials traveling with Fadnavis said he decided to take the common Mumbaikar's mode of transport to reach Kalyan to attend an event.

Commuters in the first class compartment were taken by surprise to see the Chief Minister in their midst during the peak hours. They discussed overcrowding in trains and safety issues.

Some enthusiastic commuters even dialed their relatives and asked Fadnavis to speak to them on phone, to which the Chief Minister responded positively.

"The interaction was about railway safety and crowd. Fadnavis responded positively saying that he would take up the issues with concerned authorities," an official traveling with the Chief Minister said.

not sure how much of these points will be addressed. But anyways, being with the public and listening them itself is a big deal. I have not seen any one doing these things before this Govt. Ministers and other politicians were acting as if they are celebrities from heaven. Now I see the CMs as well as our PM is so reachable for a common man. I really appreciate the address which Modi is giving on Radio. It has connected him to every Indians from every corner of the nation. Keep rocking...

Great going Mr. Chief Minister. By travelling in public transport you have avoided the traffic jams which could have been caused due to your travel on road.
Regarding the issues about the Mumbai local I believe u will be planning for something good now.
