Udupi: Kevin Misquith rocks Brahmavar with 33rd Musical Nite

Udupi, Dec 31: Konkani music fans had a gala time on the evening of Tuesday December 30 as young Konkani star Kevin Misquith presented his 33rd musical nite along with his Milestone band in aid of the new church building of Holy Family Church, Brahmavar.

The event was organized by the parish pastoral council of Brahmavar church on the eve of the annual feast at the church grounds.

The programme commenced with a small prayer by Fr Antony Vaz, the parish priest.

Kevin started the show with a solo song, followed by old as well as new compositions of his to the accompaniment of his band Milestone with its pleasing and soothing music. The singers and musicians included Jackson Noronha, Clyde Lobo, Ashwin Sequeira, Rikith Soans, Royston Pinto and Ian Sachin from the regular team with the addition of Melwyn Fernandes and Munita Veigas.

The Expressions headed by Alwyn Andrade sent the crowd into splits of laughter.

Gavin Rodrigues and his Silver Steppers added to the evening glitz with their scintillating dance numbers.

A rich tribute was paid to renowned Konkani poet and Central Sahitya Academy Award winner Melvyn Rodrigues with the performance of 'Pavle', a composition penned by him.

Fr Antony Vaz felicitated Kevin Misquith, Alwyn Andrade and Gavin Rodrigues for their support in making the event successful.
