Kush Kumar loses to Atmas in U-19 squash meet


Sheffield, Jan 6 (IANS): The dream run of India's Kush Kumar ended when he lost the boys Under-19 semi-final match to Egyptian second seed Omar El Atmas in four games in the Tecnifibre British Junior Open squash championship here.

Kush Kumar, the India U-19 champion, took the first game, but Atmas bounced back to claim the next three for a 9-11, 11-4, 11-6, 11-6, win Monday.

In the final, Atmas takes on Peru's Diego Elias who overcame England's George Parker 11-4, 8-11, 11-5, 11-2.
