Kundapur, Jan 11: Many say mathematics is the most difficult subject to understand. Most of the students take years to get a grip on mathematics, but here is a young student, all of nine years, who has special interest in this subject, and who on his own, has written multiplication tables from one to 500!

Agastya Samyak Jnan is the son of Sathish G Byndoor and Rohini.

It is said that Samyak started to utter some words when just two and half months old. He showed special interest in books, tried to read them, and preserved every book carefully. It is learnt that he began to identify and read English words written on packets and other objects when he was eighteen months old.

By the time he turned three, Agastya was able to read whatever book written in English was given to him. He also used to draw different pictures on his own, without relying on what his parents taught him. In course of time, he used to write at least ten pages of material every day.

After getting admitted to first standard when he was five, Samyak surprised teachers with his excellent knowledge of English. He got 'Best English Reader' award in his first year in school. Now he can recite multiplication tables of any numbers fluently, and give correct answers when he is asked any multiplication problem.

Agastya has special concern for environment, water, and air pollution. He has drafted various pictures relating to them, and is confident of drafting a new technology based on them if he gets proper support and encouragement.

Samyak gets whole-hearted support and encouragement from his parents. He wants to become a scientist.

The Boy seems to be really genie. His intelligence and knowledge should be further developed. There are certain centres or People who test it and let him attend higher classes, without boring in School class by class.I dont know whether in India it is possible. In England and European country and in America possible.School itself send them to find out their intelligence.Try to findout through international help.such students are really a big win to our Country and proud of.Go on Boy.

No doubt he is a gifted child. But for recitation of multiplication tables, all it takes is good memory which in this age of computers not really in vogue. Einstein himself had said 'Never memorize something that you can look up'.To be a good scientist what's required is abstract thinking and spatial reasoning. If this boy possesses these two along with his natural photographic memory, then sky is the limit for him. I wish him all the very best.
