Shirva, Dec 25: Christmas was celebrated in Shirva on December 24 evening, with a gathering of over 3,000 people.
After Mass, Leena Mendonca was honoured for her social service and support to church activities by SWAK (Shirva Welfare Association) members. A lucky draw and a game of housie were also held.
A huge crib had been put up by the members of the ICYM. Presence of two Santa Clauses drew special attention.
Parish priest Fr Valerian Pinto and assistant priests conveyed their greetings to parishioners here and abroad.
